Product Finance Director, AI Products & GPU Investment Strategy

About the role

Databricks is hiring a Product Finance Director to be the main finance partner for its AI Engineering and Product leaders, covering GPU investment planning, AI product pricing and the unit economics of its fastest growing business line.

What you'll do

• Build a unified GPU supply and demand plan spanning production inference, internal research and new product bets.
• Shape capacity commitments and procurement across hyperscalers and neoclouds, balancing reserved, spot and on-demand compute.
• Lead revenue and margin analytics for the AI portfolio and model unit economics before products launch, partnering with Product and Pricing.
• Define efficiency KPIs with Engineering (GPU utilization, cost per token/query, serverless efficiency) and run multi-cloud cost allocation and automated reporting.
• Create ROI and capital allocation frameworks for large bets, and build and mentor a team of product finance analysts.

Requirements

• 10+ years in strategic or product finance, with a background in investment banking, private equity or consulting.
• Strong command of consumption-based business models, cloud infrastructure costs and gross margin optimization.
• Proven influence with senior Engineering and Product executives on roadmaps and pricing.
• Experience building scalable financial systems and turning complex telemetry into actionable models.
• Preferred: AI/GPU economy experience, multi-product P&L ownership, SQL/Python proficiency.
