Senior Security Engineer (AI Security)

About the role

Nubank is hiring a Senior Security Engineer focused on AI security to protect its machine learning and Generative AI ecosystem. The position is hybrid (2-3 days per week) in São Paulo, Belo Horizonte, Rio de Janeiro or Campinas.

What you'll do

• Identify and analyze vulnerabilities in ML models and GenAI applications, recommending mitigations
• Help design and roll out security frameworks for responsible, large-scale AI adoption
• Partner with engineering teams to embed security across the AI development lifecycle
• Build tooling that automates security assessments and controls
• Support incident response planning and simulations for AI-related incidents, and promote safe AI awareness

Requirements

• Familiarity with security frameworks such as OWASP
• Programming in languages common to machine learning, especially Python
• Hands-on work with CI/CD pipelines and security tooling (SAST, DAST, SCA)
• Experience in highly scalable, zero-trust and regulated environments
• Strong communication with technical and non-technical audiences
• Nice to have: PyTorch/TensorFlow, Bash/Ansible/Go, AWS/K8s/Terraform, GenAI concepts
