Staff Product Manager, Agentic Test Intelligence

About the role

GitLab is hiring a Staff Product Manager to lead its Test Code Coverage and agentic test intelligence area, helping engineering teams understand pipeline failures and use coverage data to manage software quality and risk. The role spans discovery through launch and adoption, in an all-remote, async organization.

What you'll do

• Define the vision, strategy and outcome-driven roadmap for test code coverage, from MVP and beta through iteration.
• Investigate customer problems in pipeline failure diagnosis, flaky tests, test selection and coverage blind spots, and prioritize investments accordingly.
• Prototype agent-driven workflows with Engineering and Design for failure diagnosis, test repair and recovery, with evidence, confidence signals and human approval.
• Measure outcomes such as time to diagnose, time to recover and test signal quality, validating with customers and production usage.
• Collaborate across Product, Engineering, Design, Quality, Support and Product Marketing, and mentor other PMs.

Requirements

• Staff/Principal-level experience owning complex technical products or developer workflows, including launching new capabilities.
• Strong fundamentals in discovery, prioritization, roadmapping and iterative delivery.
• Technical fluency in testing, CI/CD, developer tools, DevOps or quality engineering.
• Experience exploring AI or agentic solutions for developer workflows, with judgment about safe automation.
• Excellent written communication and cross-functional influence.
