Head of Engineering, Enterprise AI

About the role

Turing is hiring a Head of Engineering to lead the technical team behind its Enterprise AI Platform, growing it into a platform organization of eight to ten people. You will partner closely with the President and the Chief AI Architect, who owns client-facing architecture and evaluations.

What you'll do

• Publish a hardening backlog with clear exit criteria in the first 90 days and close out pending engineering hires
• Ship the control plane as a no-fee trial to first tenants, with onboarding completed in under four weeks
• Deliver a model-agnostic, multi-tenant control plane covering agent builder, model gateway, evaluations, FinOps, observability, guardrails, RBAC and connectors, deployable in client cloud and sovereign environments
• Land at least one client use case with a measured evaluation and a trained model that beats frontier baselines
• Run weekly roadmap reviews with leadership, using engagement leads as the voice of the client

Requirements

• 15+ years in software engineering, including 5+ years leading platform or infrastructure teams shipping multi-tenant enterprise software
• Hands-on experience with LLM systems: orchestration, evaluation, serving and fine-tuning; production code written in the last two years
• Track record taking a platform from internal tool to externally licensed product
• Proven ability to hire fast at a high bar and lead teams of 8-15
• Deep enterprise security, identity and hosting experience with regulated customers, including bank or regulator security reviews
